DDC member, sarpanch in north Kashmir join Apni Party | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, Feb 5: A District Development Council (DDC) member and a sarpanch in north Kashmir district of Bandipora on Friday joined Apni Party (AP). A spokesman of the AP in a statement claimed that a DDC member from Arin territorial constituency of district Bandipora Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Wani on Friday joined AP in Srinagar. Wani was elected as DDC member from Arin as an independent candidate. On this occasion, Muhammad Iqbal Wani Sarpach Arin also joined the party and both of them were welcomed by the Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari. Welcoming the new entrants into the party fold, Bukhari said AP is open to all the political aspirants who have a vision to serve and work for the welfare of the people in Jammu and Kashmir. 'It is really a moment of bliss to welcome the entry of such diligent political leaders who have pledged to build a better Jammu and Kashmir through their sincere services to the people. Our goal is equitable development of both regions of J&K without letting a space for any divisive idea to corrode our principles of peace and brotherhood,' Bukhari remarked. The new entrants thanked the Party leadership and expressed that AP has provided them with such a platform that has a reliable acceptance among the people of J&K. |
