They demanded recruitment of Police Departments and professional courses 15% quota should be reserved for the Police personnel. At least 50,000/- be sanctioned at the time of marriage of daughters / sons of the Police Retirees as a financial help out of welfare funds. They furtther demanded that RS 50,000/- should be sanctioned at the time of death of police personnel / retires for performing the last rites of the deceased. Recently the Central Govt, has issued ordinance regarding one rank one pension. The State Govt, should also follow the same pattern in police Department. Since J&K state is now recognized as U.T, J&K. Hence, the first recruitment of Police should be in Armed Police just like other U.Ts. Like other U.Ts first recruitment should be in Armed Police and then transferred to other wings after completion of ten years, so that the discrimination in promotion is avoided. With this both District Police & Armed Police gets promotion at par. |
