Jammu, Feb 5: A Lok Adalat pertaining to Motor Accidents claims tribunal cases was held on District Court Complex, Rajouri under the Chairmanship of Jaffer Hussain Beg (Pr. Distt. & Sessions Judge, Rajouri) in which one bench were constituted which was headed by Om Parkash Thakur (Chief Judicial Magistrate, Rajouri) assisted by Raj Kumar (Special Mobile Magistrate/Sub-Judge, Rajouri) in which lawyers, litigants/alleged victims and insurance companies had actively participated.
A total of twenty seven Cases were taken up out of which all were amicably settled by way of mediation and reconciliation, and an amount of Rs. 90,05,000/- (Rupees Ninety Lacs and Five thousand only) was awarded as compensation. |
