Mayor, team starts development works, conducts Swachhta drive

Jammu, Feb 9: Continuing his endeavor to provide better development & civic amenities to the citizens of Jammu, Chander Mohan Gupta , Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation today in presence of Surinder Choudhary Councilor of ward no.29 (Shakti Nagar area) kick started various development activities which includes construction of chowkidar’s room, renovation works of Principal’s rooms, renovation of kitchen as well as bathroom/public utility within the premises of Govt. Girls High School at Rajpura Mangotrian of ward no.33.
kishore Kumar, Executive Engineer, Vijay kumar Gupta , Assistant executive engineer , S.K Bhatt Junior Engineer of division-II, concerned contractor, supervisory staff of Engineering & Health Section of JMC, Renu Manhas, Principal of school alongwith other staff members as well as Ved parkash Sharma, Balvinder Kumar, Shamsher Singh, Naseeb Raj & other prominent inhabitant of the ward also remained present during the function which was held in a very simple manner. Speaking on the occasion, Mayor said that it was the long pending demands of the school management as staff members especially female staff & children were facing great hardships due to lack of basic amenities in the school & now the said development activities have started today with an estimate cost of Rs 5.00 lacs only . He directed the engineering wing to complete the work within stipulated time frame by applying best quality construction material for its long durability. Later, mayor along with Mohinder kumar Bhagat councilor of ward no.61 also attended sanitation drive which was organized by IEC development & implementation unit of Jammu under “Swacch Bharat Mission” which was started from Patta Bohri to Udheywala of ward no.61. Darshan Chowdhary , Hem Raj, Romesh Kumar, Govind Ram, Madam Archana Koushal, Anju Bala, Chaman Lal, Chander Sharma and other prominent inhabitants of the locality as well officers/officials of health section of Jammu Municipal Corporation alongwith students of various schools also participated in this sanitation drive which was specially organized to aware the general public about programmes and other activities under “Swacch Bharat Mission” being organized by the JMC & its allied agencies to make Jammu neat, clean and green city.
