| Skill students visit Deptt of Agriculture | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 9: The Department of Botany under the overall supervision of Principal M H Shah and HOD Botany Rani Mughal organized a visit of skill students of Sem V to the department of Agriculture to master the techniques of Mushroom Cultivation technology as prescribed in their syllabus.
Jasbir Singh Apiculture development officer was the resource person who deliberated in depth the intricacies of the mushroom cultivation technology right from its morphology to cultivation techniques to the medicinal value. He also appreciated the department of botany for its initiative to impart practical knowledge to the students to bring the real essence of the said course to the core.
Students were accompanied by Prof Rani Mughal HOD Botany, Muzaffar Akbar Rather in charge of the sem V Skill Course and Maroof Khan Asst Professor of Botany.
Pertinent to mention here that the department of Higher Education under the stewardship of incumbent commissioner Secretary Talat Parvez has introduced a no of skill enhancement courses in various disciplines to provide avenues to the youth of J &K U T to become self reliant for a bright future. |
