Jammu, Feb 10: Within hours after Panthers Party president Balwant Singh Mankotia resigned from president as well as primary membership of the party, former minister and chairman of the party Harsh Dev Singh smelt BJP’s conspiracy in the whole episode. “BJP is desperately trying to break opposition parties. I think there is BJP’s conspiracy behind Balwantji’s resignation”, Singh said while interacting with the media persons. “I have no communication with Balwant Singh Mankotia. His phone is switched off ”, he replied when asked about Mankotia’s allegation. Harsh Dev alleged that BJP leadership was trying to break opposition parties, especially Panthers Party. “They even tried to lure me by offering posts of MLA, minister and MPs but they failed. Following their failure to lure me, they even tried to intimidate me”, he alleged. Earlier Mankotia, a two time MLA from Udhampur resigned from the basic membership of Panthers Party. Just two days back, Mankotia was re-elected as president of the Panthers Party. Announcing his separation from the party on social media, Monkotia said, “I am resigning from all positions and basic membership of the Panthers party with a heavy heart”. He further added that he had to make this decision in view of the specific situation, and could not consult his colleagues. He further wrote, “If I had not resigned, our domestic affairs could have come up in public circles. I appeal to the party’s patron General Bhim Singh that party chairman Harsh Dev Singh is a competent person. Therefore, they should be given all the responsibilities of the party”. Notable Bhim Singh, Harsh Dev and Mankotia are close relatives and are pioneers of the Panthers Party. |
