The project- approached in the year 2011, was scheduled to be completed by the end of 2016 but successive governments failed to complete the same due to 'political reasons.' Initial cost of this project was Rs 201 crores which has been increased to Rs 213.8 crores due to inordinate delay by the successive state governments. The multilevel parking project has capacity of parking 80 buses in the bus terminal, 1312 cars, 177 two-wheelers with 239 shops and dedicated space for restaurants and food courts. n Project was approved in the year 2011 and stipulated time for completion of the project was 2016. n On September 2, 2013, the then chief minister Omar Abdullah had laid the foundation stone of this project. n On October 16, 2015, the then chief minister late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed had laid the foundation stone of the same project. |
