Kashmir leader lobbies for appointment in New Delhi | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 13: After having parted ways with the so called Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration or PAGD, a politician from Kashmir is trying hard to get appointment in the “corridors of power” in New Delhi. Sources said the politician is “repenting” to have previously joined hands with the PAGD over the abrogation of the special status and wants to convey the same to the “corridors of power.” It was reliably learnt that the leader has been frequently visiting New Delhi with main motive of “seeking audience in the Union government and other senior leaders” of the Bharatiya Janta Party. Sources said the said leader is in touch with some of the senior leaders of the right-wing party and looks ahead to revive the “broken relations.” Sources said the said leader is of the opinion that his party “won’t be able to survive in the coming times unless he clarifies his position” in New Delhi. Sources said he had told a senior leader of BJP that time has come that he meets his “mentors.” Sources said he has been telling BJP that his was the first regional party to have openly supported Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and BJP in Jammu and Kashmir, when other politicians in the valley were “against” the right wing party. Sources said the leader believes that the “decisions as taken by New Delhi are in the larger interest of the country.” Sources said a close family member of the said politician is also lobbying in the “corridors of power” that their “political party be given another chance to prove their loyalty.” “Atleast three members of the family are busy to persuade the BJP leadership to revive the relations,” said a source privy to the developments. Sources said two senior BJP leaders are already in support of the politician. Despite repeated attempts, the said leader was not available for comments. |
