| One day awareness programme on Quit Drug Choose Life held | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 13: One day awareness programme was conducted by Government Degree College, Ramnagar, NSS Unit on theme “ Quit Drug Choose Life” for raising awareness regarding menace of drugs abuse. Principal, Dr. Udhey Bhanu GDC Ramnagar inaugurated the programme by throwing light on increasing prevalence of drugs abuse among youth and urgent need of an hour to curb this issue. The chief guest of the event occasion was Sh. G.R. Bhardwaj, SDO Ramnagar who elaborated on existing challenges associated with drug abuse. The chief guest also highlighted the role of various psychological and social factors as a driving force behind this menace and the need for proper counselling was also emphasized. Later on all the queries of the students were also resolved .To make youth more aware, NSS volunteers described the nature of drug abuse, its conquences through their presentations. |
