| Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra organizes programme on Samoohik Mahashivratri | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 14: To continue the celebration of annual Samoohik Mahashivratri, Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra today organised a simple but impressive function at Anand Nagar Bohri. Swami Dinesh Bharti was the chief guest while Vimarshi Koul was guest of honour.
The chief guest expressed his views about the cultural ethos and civilization of the Kashmiri Hindus. While discussing the importance of Shivratri he emphasised on the role of younger generation in revival of the religious cultural traditions. Swami Ji also appreciated the SSK for doing yeomen service in preservation of culture and heritage and also extending various facilities to the community in exile. Vimarshi Koul deliberated in length about the essence of Shivratri.
In her intellectual talk she commented about individual self consciousness and narrated shalokas from various granths. Prof Satish Bhan presided over the function. Earlier the function started with the lighting of traditional lamp. Dwarika Nath Raina, Senior Trustee of the Kendra welcomed the guests. On the occasion a beautiful cultural programme including Shiv Bhajans and a short play was organised by J&K Bhumi Human Welfare Society and Sanskar Bharti. The function concluded with samoohik aarti. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Mahraj Krishan Bhat. |
