| PMGSY (JKRRDA) Jammu adopts pick and choose policy in adjustment of JEs | | | RAJESH TANDON

POONCH, Mar 14: The transfers of Junior Engineers in Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) under Jammu and Kashmir Rural Road Development Authority (JKRDDA ) Jammu have come under scanner allegedly for adopting pick and choose policy in adjustment of JEs whereas the non-performers were not touched while executing the reshuffling process.
Sources told Early Times that the office of Chief Engineer PMGSY (JKRRDA) Jammu had issued an order No. CEJ/ PMGSY/ 155 of 2021 dated 28-01-2021 of around 36 Junior Engineers and adjusted them in different districts across Jammu region according to the vacancy position in PMGSY Divisions.
Interestingly, there were a number of such Junior Engineers in the department who were sitting in Jammu for the last many years but were kept out of this adjustment order, which created resentment among the other engineers, who alleged double standards in the transfers.
They alleged that despite a number of complaints against some JEs for their involvement in various corrupt practices they were not transferred due to their contacts with higher ups.
When Early Times contacted the Executive Engineer PMGSY, he said that the decision regarding adjustment of Junior Engineers was taken by the Administrative Department at the Civil Secretariat and there is no involvement of this office in it. |
