DYSS felicitates players of Taekwondo Academy

Jammu, Mar 24: Director General Youth Services & Sports Dr. Saleem ur Rehman Felicitated the players of Taekwondo Academy of Khel Gaon Nagrota for securing positions at Vishal Memorial JKTA Foundation Cup-2021.
For the very first time players of First Govt Taekwondo Academy in UT, Khelgao Nagrota participated at Vishal Memorial JKTA Foundation Cup-2021,organized by J&K Taekwondo Association in collaboration with Korean Culture Centre, India (KCC).
The main event took place at JKSC New Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, with around 600 athletes taking part in the competition and over 3000 players in all districts of UT.
The event was declared open by Joint Director, Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), Bashir Ahmad, who was chief guest while Abdul Qayoom, Accounts Office DYSS was guest of honour.
The Iconic Vishal Memorial JKTA Foundation Cup-2021, witnessed athletes from Slums, Orphanage and Migrant Colonies taking part in an inspirational two days based Championships which was conducted all districts of J&K and over 3000 players took part same days.
Athletes from the 20 Clubs, alongside 15 Zones showcased their skills during the entire Championship.
The athletes of Taekwondo Academy of Khel Gao Nagrota secured their first victory during the championship.
Dr Saleem ur Rehman (DG YS&S) congratulated all the medal winners and NIS Qualified Coach of YSS Atul Pangotra for registering the first win of Taekwondo Academy Khelgao Nagrota and assured the full support from YSS for all the future events. Sh Ravi Kumar Deputy Director YSS, Mool Raj Uttam Assitant Director YSS , Sh Sukhdev Raj Sharma District Youth Services & Sports Officer, Jammu and Smt Veena Tickoo ZPEO were present on the felicitation function.
Other department officials Sh Yashpal Sharma, Sh Vishal Bharti, Sh. B.K Bhat, Vishal Malhotra, Jyoti Kumari, Kabaddi Coach Sh Ajay Wadera and Volleyball Coach Sh Naresh Kumar were also present there.
These are the medals winners who secured 1st and 2nd positions in the above mentioned event. Shoriya Bhatt (Gold Medal), Navya Verma (Gold Medal Divya (Gold Medal), Shudhushu Singh (Gold Medal), Arjun Kumar (Gold Medal) Aryan Koul (Gold Medal), Rudrakshi (Silver Medal ) and Shivam (Silver Medal)
