Jammu, Mar 24: 10 out of 15 inmates, who fled from a de- addiction Centre at Salmeri Vijaypur are still missing, while one died, two reached home, while two have contacted their families from Delhi. Moreover, on the basis of complaints filed by the families of missing youths’ police are likely to register a case against the people who were running the centre. Sukhwant Singh, a resident of Moga Punjab was running this private de-addiction Centre “New Life Nasha Mukti Kendra” at village Salmeri falls under the jurisdiction of Vijaypur Police Station. “Sukhwant Singh has another de-addiction centre in Punjab, yesterday he informed the Vijaypur that 15 inmates from his centre have fled away. They (inmates) broke the windowpane and grill of the hall and then ran way”, said a police officer, adding that latter the management of the centre went underground, when they heard about death of an inmate. “We have received complaints from parents of the missing inmates and accordingly a case will be registered. Earlier, Police have verified several doubts related to mysterious missing of the youths from the centre”, the officer said. |
