Bureaucrats in Secretariat trying to get Centre failed in J&K, says senior BJP leader | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 5: Senior BJP leader and former Rajya Sabha member Shamsher Singh Manhas on Monday launched a blistering attack on J&K administration for unnecessary creating liabilities of MGNRGA scheme. Manhas, whose tenure as Rajya Sabha member was ended two months back, alleged that some bureaucrats of civil secretariat were behaving like ‘autocrats’ despite the fact that they were not aware of the ground reality of J&K. He further alleged that these autocrat bureaucrats were trying to get Union Government failed in J&K. He said that a whooping liability of Rs 1000 crores has intentionally being created only to harass the common masses. “People are not responsible any misdeeds. Officers/officials of the concerned departments were responsible so instead of punishing people for their no fault higher-ups must take action against the officers”, he said, adding “MGNRGA liabilities should be released immediately to give relief to the people”, he said. The former Rajya Sabha member further said that Centre was giving adequate financial help to J&K but some bureaucrats were creating trouble just to accomplish their nefarious designs. He pointed out that last year Centre had sanctioned a whooping amount of Rs 80000 crores for the development of J&K. Important to mention here that Manhas was former president of J&K BJP. |
