SUSHIL DUTTA EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAJOURI, Apr 5: At a time when the country is getting surrounded with sudden rise in Coronavirus cases and with the situation almost same in Jammu and Kashmir, the Vice Chairman of District Development Council in Rajouri, Shabir Ahmed Khan was caught on the wrong foot as he was seen openly violating the COVID-19 related SOPs. Khan, who himself remained as Minister of State for Health, chaired a public meeting in a village of Manjakote and later photos and videos of that event were shared on social media. In these photos and videos, Khan can be seen delivering speech and posing group photographs with locals including children with no care of social distancing as well as use of face masks. Such grave violation on part of Shabir Ahmed Khan is a litmus test for the authorities also as the common man is being fined for not wearing a face mask but VVIPs like Khan are going scot free. |
