Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 13: Aam Aadmi Party leader and social activist Gurmeet Singh has greeted Muslims on the beginning of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting. "At this time of year I want to say Ramadan Mubarak to Muslims at home and across the world who are beginning the holy month," said Gurmeet Singh, adding that this Ramadan will be particularly challenging, but the values of compassion, charity and sacrifice are more important now than ever before. He further said, "While this is a joyous occasion for Muslims as families come together to fast, I know this year will also be incredibly difficult time, as we continue the battle against the Coronavirus. Unlike other years, while we continue to maintain social distancing measures to keep us safe. Ramadan brings out common qualities that we have; of compassion, of sharing, of supporting each other, qualities we need more than ever just at this time." Once again, on behalf of the Aam Aadmi Party, "I wish everyone a blessed and peaceful Ramadan." |
