Kalakote, Apr , 30 Literary club of GDC Kalakote organized online intra- college essay writing competition on the topic “Covid-19 and its impact on Education” in commemoration to “Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav”.
The emergence of Corona Virus disease (COVID-19) has led the world to an unprecedented public health crisis .The outbreak of Covid-19 had serious implications on all sections of the society.
Multiple issues related to social, educational, economical, political, agricultural, psychological levels and many more have been noticed which has created the devastating impact on the lives of the people.This essay writing competition was thus organized to analyse the impact of this Pandemic on education.
Giving an overwhelming response, the students participated in the event with great ardour inspite of the panic situation the sudden rise in the COVID-19 cases has created among them and expressed their views with great skill. The judges for this competition were Prof.Anayat-Ullah-Khan, Prof.Marve Sofi and Prof.Sheetal.
The result will be declared after the proper evaluation and the top three winners and the participants will be awarded with e- certificate. Speaking on the event through an online platform, Principal GDC Kalakote, Romesh Kumar Gupta , expressed his concern over the rising cases of Covid-19 across the country and explained why is it important to take the responsibility of being safe and fight back during this testing time.
