Pak in no mood to mend its ways
5/1/2021 12:46:48 AM
The government in Pakistan is making all possible attempts to keep the terrorist organizations operating in the country in the good books.
Imran Khan led government had decided to place a resolution in the House to seek an expulsion of a French diplomat after the extremist right-wing fundamentalist group Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) mounted pressure on the Khan led government for it.
The TLP had staged a demonstration in Pakistan to seek the expulsion of the diplomat after his country had indulged in blasphemy.
The violent protests that rocked Pakistan claimed many lives and scores were injured. The Pak government entered into a negotiation with the TLP and agreed to its demand to place a resolution in the house to expel the French diplomat.
Pakistan government following the diktat of the extremist organization has once again proven it beyond that the country is in no mood to mend its ways. Entire world is aware of the fact that Pakistan is a breeding ground for terrorists as it breeds hatred and violence. Our neighboring country is in the grey list of FATA and if it fails to act against the terrorist organizations it could end up in the black list of the terror watchdog. To save itself from going into the black list the country till date has taken many cosmetic steps but the world knows that these have been nothing more than an eyewash.
After India and Pakistan declared true along the Line of Control (LoC), the neighbouring country is trying to create a notion that it wants peace but in the same breath it’s talking about Kashmir. It indicates that Pakistan has not changed its stand and wants talks and terror to go hand in hand but the fact of the matter is that the talks and terror cannot go along. India has to be cautious while dealing with Pakistan as the history stands testimony to the fact that our rogue neighbor has always backstabbed us. India’s desire for peace should not be misconstrued as its weakness. If Pakistan is really sincere about restoring peace in the region it should stop supporting the terrorists and their handlers. The outbreak of COVID-19 has broken the back of world’s economy and all the countries are struggling for existence. Every country wants to live in peace but the peace cannot be given a chance by supporting the elements who are inimical to peace.
