Early Times Report

Jammu, May 9: Asserting that the government is relentlessly working round the clock in defeating the ongoing second wave of COVID-19 pandemic, former Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Kavinder Gupta has appealed to the people of this Union Territory to wholeheartedly support the initiatives of the Government.
In a statement issued here today, the former Deputy Chief Minister said the government has already taken multiple initiatives to address the ongoing pandemic adding that several government and private hospitals have been dedicated exclusively to treat the Covid positive patients.
“Moreover I welcome the decision of the Government to provide Covid kits to the people especially the ones who need home quarantine or isolation. I also appreciate the decision of the administration to further extend Corona Curfew till 17th of May 2021 and appeal to the people to extend full support by sacredly following all the SOPs announced in this regard by the administration from time to time,” he said.
Asserting that the best possible medical facilities are being provided to the corona patients in the hospitals and other health institutions, he appealed to the people to display utmost patience in this hour of deep crisis.
Kavinder Gupta said that the whole Bharatiya Janata Party cadre stands with the government at this critical juncture with its activists and workers fanned out in all directions right upto the grass root level working in full synchronization with the administration.
Reiterating the party’s support to the people at large in this hour of crisis, Kavinder said that the only safety today lies in strict following SOPs and getting oneself vaccinated.
He appealed to the people to go to their nearest vaccination centres and get themselves inoculated at the earliest. This will not only keep those vaccinated safe but will go a long way in containing the further spread of virus, he added.
