Essay competition on theme “Covid 19: Humanity On Drive” held

Kalakote, May 9: Red Cross and Red Ribbon Club of GDC Kalakote jointly organized an online intra college essay competition on the theme ‘Covid-19: Humanity on Drive’ to celebrate Red Cross Day 2021 in commemoration to “Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav” on the occurrence of world Red Cross day on 8th May, to mark out the importance of volunteers and their roles in handling up this pandemic.
The event conducted successfully under the care of Shezad Ahmed (convener Red Ribbon club). In this competition many students participated through online mode. The students while writing their essays highlighted the role of frontline workers such as doctors, teachers, defense personals, home guard, disasters management volunteers, revenue and municipal officials.
They also viewed that the world is currently observing a spectacular disruption of everyday life owing to quick progression of the COVID-19, millions of people suffered. India has also been going through very tough phases where thousands of cases spiking up every day. Hundreds of people are passing away every day. This time not only in India but entire world’s scientists, doctor, global health professional are working jointly to speed up the researches and development programme and also develop innovative standards and norms to contain the spread of the corona virus pandemic and also facilitate better care for those who got pretentious.
People belong to particular religion come forward to save the lives of people belong to different religions. Many places it has been seen that the last rites of Covid victims’ of one religion performed by the other religion’s people. From this clamp it has been cleared that humanity always prevailed on everything.
In addition to all many social volunteers were trained by different social organizations. They have been creating more awareness programme to sensitize all people and helpless communities. Most of the volunteers even reached far flung rural areas and also congested urban areas such as railways and bus stands where massive gathering take place every day to instill them, how to combat with this pandemic.
After successfully conducted online essay competition and positions were declared. The Principal of College, Prof. (Dr) Romesh kr. Gupta while speaking on the occasion through online mode said, “Teachers working in Universities, Colleges and Schools are also frontline worker, one side they are doing administrative duties, on the other side they are teaching students through various online mode. Although the resources are limited, problem of internet found in many rural areas, excessive workload, had turned upside down everything.
