Govt restricts entry of attendants in COVID-19 wards | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 9: The government has restricted the entry of attendants of the COVID-19 patients in the hospitals. A govt order stated: “In order to contain the spread of COVID-19 infection, all the Medical Superintendents are directed to take appropriate measures to restrict the entry of attendants of COVID-19 patients admitted in the GMC & Associated Hospitals, Jammu.” Further, as and when required, an undertaking should be taken from such willing attendants who want to visit their patients with strict observance of COVID-19 appropriate behaviour as per the SoP’s /Guidelines of the COVID-19 pandemic. This is also required to maintain discipline in the wards and help in optimizing the management of the patients by the Medical and Paramedical Staff as per the SoP’s /guidelines.” “The Security incharge shall maintain a movement register to note the entry and exit time and date of the visit of the attendants in each and every COVID-19 wards. The visiting hours will be fixed by the concerned Medical Superintendent and managed in such a way that not more than 10% of the total patients admitted in a ward should have one attendant each with them,” the order stated. |
