DDC Chairperson takes stock of Covid-19 management at District Hospital Udhampur 5/11/2021 9:34:08 PM EARly Times Report UDHAMPUR, May 11: District Development Council Chairperson, Udhampur, Lal Chand today visited District Hospital and took stock of the preparations put in place by Hospital Administration to combat the spread of CoronaVirus in the district. During the visit, the DDC Chairperson took a detailed review of the infrastructure available in the hospital for dealing with Coronavirus patients. Chief Medical Officer, Dr K C Dogra and Incharge Medical Superintendent Balwinder Singh briefed him about the Covid-19 management. The Chairperson also interacted with doctors and enquired about the functioning of the hospital. He asked the doctors and paramedical staff to follow the SOPs while attending the patients. The Chairperson expressed appreciated the efforts made by Health Department regarding Covid-19 management in the District The Chairperson also visited the sample collection, vaccination counter and enquired about the status of vaccination, Oxygen, testing, contact tracing, ICU facilities, and availability of bedding capacity at designated center. He asked the concerned authorities to ensure proper care of COVID-19 positive patients for their early recovery. He stressed upon the health department to evolve an effective strategy for early detection of COVID cases to control the spread of this dreaded virus. Later, the Chairperson also visited the Health and Wellness Centre Tikri. He was accompanied by DDC Councilor Tikri, Ashu Sharma and Sarpanch Jib, Rakesh Sharma, where he inspected various sections of the CWC and interacted with the Doctors and paramedical staff.
