GDC Jindrah conducts sanitization drive , masks distribution

Jammu, May 16: The NSS unit of Government Degree College (GDC) Jindrah under its Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav conducts sanitization drive and distributed face masks at public places in and around Jindrah village with the help of NSS volunteers of GDC Jindrah and locals. An intense sanitization drive was conducted at all the public places of village Jindrah and awareness regarding this deadly disease was spread to break the chain of Covid-19.
The masks were also distributed and importance of timely and early testing of covid was also recommended to save the precious lives of people. People were also made aware of social distancing, importance of frequent hand washing and proper way of wearing masks to avoid Corona disease during the campaign.
They were also made aware about the deadly second variant of Corona which requires more precautions and hygiene to cease the further spread. Covid guidelines were also discussed with the people.
The drive was conceptualized and conducted by Dr. Sunil Sharma, Programme Officer, NSS of GDC Jindrah under the supervision and guidance of Prof. Rajshree Dhar, the Principal of GDC Jindrah.
During the drive, the NSS wing of the college, locals and social workers namely Mr. Ajay Sharma and Mr. Raman Kumar actively contributed and participated for the noble cause.
The NSS volunteers of GDC Jindrah under the Aatmnirbhar Bharat initiative not only prepared face masks themselves but also distributed these hand made face masks to the people of Jindrah village at almost all the public places like banks, markets, shops etc. People were also told not to roam around unnecessary and always wear face masks for important works outside. NSS volunteers also provide food to labours working in Brick kiln of Jindrah. During the campaign people also responded positively and promised to follow covid guidelines to avoid the fatal disease.
