Silent over deaths of helpless Corona patients in GMC, Mehbooba says Sehrai died due to inadequate medical care in Jammu
5/16/2021 11:26:57 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, May 16: While as deaths of helpless Corona patients are going unabated in Government Medical College & Hospital (GMC) Jammu allegedly due non-availability of medical care, for former chief minister and president of Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Mehbooba Mufti only separatist leader Ashraf Sehrai died due to inadequate medical treatment.
After tested COVID positive, the jailed separatist leader and chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH) Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai died at the GMC Jammu on May 5.
Shockingly over 300 helpless Corona patients have lost their lives in GMC Jammu allegedly due to non-availability of adequate medical care but Mehbooba Mufti has not uttered even a single word and she is only concerned over Ashraf Sehrai.
“PSA is GOI’s go to method for every problem. Latest example being Ashraf Sehrai’s sons who lost their father in custody due to inadequate medical care & have been arrested under PSA. In rest of India dead are being ill-treated but in Kashmir it’s living who are made to suffer”, Mehbooba tweeted this afternoon.
“Kashmir is an open air prison where people’s thoughts are being monitored & they are punished for it. There is no outlet left to express one’s opinion & this is a deliberate attempt to push Kashmiris to the wall”, she tweeted in another tweet.
Meanwhile, J&K Police refuted Mehbooba Mufti claim on the arrest of Sehrai's sons. Police said that Sehrai's two sons have been arrested for raising anti-national slogans during a funeral, but have not been detained under the PSA.
Jammu and Kashmir Police denied on Sunday that the two sons of recently-deceased separatist leader Ashraf Sehrai have been detained under the Public Safety Act (PSA).
Reacting to the PDP chief and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti's tweet alleging that the PSA seemed to be the only solution the Central government had for the problems in Kashmir, police said that Sehrai's two sons have been arrested for raising anti-national slogans during a funeral, but have not been detained under the PSA.
