Cong supported Black Day organised by Kissan in entire country | | | Early Times Report
Samba, May 26: The Congress unit of district Samba under the chairmanship of Babal Gupta – working district president Samba have supported the Black Day organised by Kissan (farmers) in the entire country. In this context the Congress workers have organized protested rally in Vijaypur adhering the SOPs issued by the administration. While addressing the media persons Babal Gupta said that the Union Government of India should roll back the three bills passed by the parliamentarians against the farmers. He said that the farmers of the entire country are on strike for the last 06 months and more than 400 farmers have sacrifices their lives but the Union Government of India is not paying any heed towards the demand. He said that on one side Prime Minister of India is renowned as well wisher of Farmers and the BJP is beating drums for the welfare of farmers but in the instant case when the Farmers declared that they have no need of such bills. The Union Government of India is not providing the MSP to the farmers as warranted in the Bills. Due to the passing of the three bills the farmers are facing hardship to meet the expenditure for farming and they have been compelled for facing the starvation. He said that ex-Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri has given the slogan “Jai Jawan Jai Kissan” because the Jawan i.e. solider protect the border of country and kissan provide the food to the nation. He said that the Govt. is providing food grain to the poorest, the credit of which goes to farmers but it is unfortunate the Union Government is not paying any heed towards the genuine demands of farmers. He urged Prime Minister Narinder Modi to personally intervene into the matter and call the special session and roll back the unwanted three farmers bills. Dharam Pal, Raj Kumar, Mulkh Raj, Tarsem Lal, Riki Pujabi and Ajay Kumar were also seen in the rally. |
