Poonch, May 26: Rural Development and Panchayati Raj department Poonch is contineously in news for its failure as malpractices galore on the name of commission. According to sources from Mandi many JEs, VLWs and GRSs are involved in malpractices in the form of commission from MGNREGA workers, and has fixed percentage of commission against PMAY houses, TSPs and other FC schemes. Many locals from Loran, Bedar and surrounding areas have informed Early Times that department is favouring those who are rich and have double storey houses whereas ignoring deserving candidates for not giving them fixed percentage of commission. Locals from Mandi and Loran have appealed to LG Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha to constitute a team to investigate the matter and book the accused under relevant sections of law. |
