Poster making, slogan writing competition held | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jun 15: To commemorate 75 years of India’s freedom struggle “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”, Government Degree College Ramgarh organised a poster making & slogan writing competition on Blood Donation Day on the theme “Give blood and keep the world beating”. The reason behind selecting this theme was to aware students about blood donation & to encourage them to donate blood. It is also a global call for people to come forward and donate blood regularly. Principal of the college Dr.Meeru Abrol at this occasion quoted’ The basic aim behind this event is to inculcate the blood donating feeling which itself is a sort of serving the humanity. She further added that every student should strive to participate in competition and events like this as it helps to explore the hidden talent inside every one which enhances one’s self-esteem and confidence. In this poster making competition she lauded the active participation of each student and also distributed E-certificate to all the participants. The first position was clinched by Sunita Devi,the second by Anuj Pangotra and third position bagged jointly by Abhi Kumar and Tarun Singh. Students were judged according to the originality and creativity. The event was successfully conducted by Minali Deep &Prof. Seema Sharma convener of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The committee plans to organise a series of similar events in future to join the celebrations of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” that will continue till August 2022. |
