Mobile campaign launched in Udhampur for creating awareness regarding PMFBY

UDHAMPUR, July 5: Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare , Udhampur in collaboration with Reliance General Insurance Company organized crop insurance week campaign under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna(PMFBY) in Udhampur block to aware the farmers about the PMFBY. The IEC mobile van was flagged off by ADDC Udhampur, Kanta Devi.
While welcoming the farmers, CAO S C Sharma appealed to the farmers to come forward & take the benefit of the scheme. It was informed that all the panchayats of Udhampur Block will be covered under the mobile campaign to promote PMFBY and also to clear their doubts regarding the same.
Further, awareness camps related to PMFBY celebration were held at panchayats Roun , Sial Jattan & Mansar of Block Udhampur today on 5th July , 2021.These camps were attended by around 150 no of farmers. All necessary protocols related to COVID-19 were properly followed.
Pallavi Mali from the Technical Support Unit of Ministry of Agriculture & Farmer Welfare Credit Division New Delhi interacted with the farmers & satisfactorily answered many queries raised by the farmers. Vote of thanks was presented by DAO(Extn) Sh Alok Pandotra .
The officers present on the occasion included SDAO Udhampur, Rajesh Gandotra , AEO Bradian, Shiv Parshottam Jyoti , AEO Jib, Yashpal , AEO Mansar, Virender Mohan Padha, Mahavir , from Reliance general Insurance and Mr Manouti Sharma from PMFBY cell of Directorate of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Jammu.
