Minority Cell of JKPCC vows to strengthen Congress party | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 5: A meeting of Minority department of JKPCC was held here today at PCC HQ Shahidi Chowk Jammu under the Chairmanship of its Vice Chairman Gurdarshan Singh in order to chalk out strategies to strengthen the organization at grass root level. The meeting was attended by all its state, Provincial and District office bearers. While speaking in the meeting Gurdarshan Singh Vice Chairman laid stress on strengthening of the organizational base of Minority Cell of the congress party and taking the alleged anti-minority policies adapted by the Union and Union Territory governments to the public. He further said that the BJP government is responsible for the problems being faced by the minority communities of JKUT and raising voice against the government's wrong policies is our democratic right. We stand with people and share their problems related to inflation, unemployment, steep price rise of petroleum products and other burning issues of common man. Michael Wazir State coordinator while discussing the measures to protect minorities and their rights appealed all the minority communities to reconnect with the congress party to defeat communal forces. He said that the congress party has never appeased any particular community, instead, the Party only ensured social justice by giving equal opportunities to all the communities without any discrimination. Michael Wazir appealed to all the Party workers to expose the hype created by present government over the welfare of minorities. Jagjeet Singh Rimple District President Jammu (Urban) demand reservation of four Assembly seats for Sikhs, two for Christians and two for Dogra Muslim communities to mitigate the problems being faced by these communities. |
