| Mayor, others kick starts macadamization work in Shakti Nagar area | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 5: Continuing his endeavor to provide better development & Civic amenities to the citizens of Jammu, Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor Jammu Municipal corporation alongwith Surinder Chowdhary Councillor of Ward no. 29 today kick started the macadamization work from Gurah Morh, Bakshi Nagar upto Main Bazar Shakti Nagar area.
Deepak Puri Assistant Executive Engineer, Rakesh Khajuria, Junior Engineer alongwith other supervisory staff of PWD as well as Atul Bakshi, Suresh Gupta, Pawan Sharma, Rakesh Kumar, Madam Tripta Jamwal and other prominent inhabitants of ward no. 29 were also remained present there during the tour.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor told that it was the long pending demands of the locals which has been fulfilled today with the sincere efforts of the concerned councilor and this much awaited black topping work is being undertaken by the PW (R&B) Department with an allotted amount of Rs. 15 Lacs only. He further told that it is a very busy road which has been got damaged at various junctions due to which the passersby and motorists often fell down & got themselves injured in view of its deteriorated conditions. Locals extended much gratitude to the Mayor & their councilor for taking keen interest in this development work.
Mayor further told that JMC has already taken up the job of providing best possible amenities in all the wards of the city with the active cooperation of the all the councilors from the last two & half years and also appeal to the general public to come forward & cooperate with JMC & other allied departments in all the activities so that aim of "Swacch Bharat Mission" can be achieved successfully. |
