Corporator kick starts night cleaning services

JAMMU, July 7: JMC Corporator Amit Gupta along with Sanjogita Sudan Health Officer JMC kick starts night cleaning services in ward 19.
Corporator Amit Gupta after starting the night cleaning services said that today he is fulfilling the demands of the locals to provide better sanitation conditions and more hygienic environment to the general public, by starting off the night cleaning service in his ward.
He further said that in ward 19, there was dire need of cleaning services during the day as well as night, since there are many hotels and dhabas in the ward and the tourists and travelers footfall is more in the area than adjoining wards.
Further the Corporator Amit Gupta thanked the Health Officer JMC Smt. Sanjogita Sudan for listening to their demands and starting the night cleanliness drive from ward 19.
He further added that this is a great step towards Prime Minister's Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan.
Sanjogita Sudan briefing about the night cleanliness services said that before corona pandemic and lockdown the night cleaning service was provided in many wards but due to corona pandemic, it was stopped. So today we are starting again with these night cleaning services for the welfare of the locals and to provide them with a much healthier environment.
As many people go for walks and runs during the morning, so due to night cleaning services, they will be provided clean and hygiene environment during the morning as well as it is during the day time.
She further said that she have started this night cleaning service from ward 19 as Corporator Amit Gupta already briefed that the footfall in the ward is much more due to the presence of many hotels and dhabas in the ward. But soon these night cleaning services shall start in other markets as well.
JMC Supervisor Sunny Khoker, Rajeev Gupta, Raju President Vinayak Bazar Association, Vishal, Shammi, Sahil Gupta and other prominent citizens of the ward were also present.
