JKS demands two new constituencies

Jammu, July 8: Jat Kalyan Sabha (JKS) today held an emergency meeting to discuss the issue of fresh delimitation of constituencies in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Ch. Kamal Singh President Jat Kalyan Sabha J&K and attended by Er Neeraj Choudhary President Youth Jat Kalyan Sabha J&K and several other prominent people.
Ch. Kamal Singh President raised his demand to constitute two new border belt constituencies Sanji Morh in Kathua District, Arnia in Jammu District and two constituencies for refugees of 1947 1965 and 1971.
He said due to unprovoked firing of Pakistan, the people are living in miserable condition. Their homes are damaged and their children’s are frequently killed/injured in the firing. The education of the school and college going students also suffered.
Ch. Kamal Singh said that people have to frequently migrate from their houses to the safer places during firing and no aid was provided to them by successive governments. He asserted that the erstwhile Border Belt has been a victim of apathy due to gross injustice done against the border belt and its people by the successive regimes for the past so many decades. Ch Kamal Singh said that in order to end this injustice and save the people of border belt for further victimization, there is a dire need to create the two assembly seats for this Border Belt so that they can raise their voice in the legislative assembly. Ch. Kamal Singh President also emphasized the need for creating two separate Constituencies for refugees of 1947, 1965 & 1971.Singh said that they have been victimized and were deprived of their a legitimate rehabilitation by the successive governments of erstwhile J&K.
