Early Times Report SRINAGAR, July 8: Body of a man, drowned in river Jehlum, was fished out on Thursday in Srinagar after over a week, officials said today. They said a 50-year-old Mohammad Ashraf Zala, resident of Kailashpora in the down town, Srinagar, drowned in river Jehlum on July Ist. However, despite massive search operation, the body of Zala could not be retrieved. This morning panic gripped in P C depot area in Parimpora when a body was found in the river. Later, with the help of police the body was retrieved and the deceased was identified as Zala who was drowned in the river. The body was handed over to his relative after medico-legal formalities, they said. |
