'Pratham Pooja' organised at Shri Laxmi Narayan Temple, Bhaderwah

BHADERWAH, July 8: Shri Laxmi Narayan Temple Board's (LNTB) Chairman, Inder Singh Wazir performed Pratham Pooja at the holy temple amidst chanting of vedic mantras to invoke divine blessings. 'Hawan' (a holy ritual in front of fire) was also performed seeking blessings.
The Chairman prayed for the good health and well-being of the people of Jammu Kashmir and Bhaderwah in particular. "With the blessings of Shri Laxmi Mata, who is a source of strength for people during this difficult time, we shall overcome the health crisis and work towards welfare of the mankind," he said.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, all the traditional religious rituals were performed at Shri Laxmi Narayan Mandir as per past practice while keeping in view the directions issued by the authorities in terms of COVID-19 protocols.
Inder Singh Wazir, Chairman of the trust has said that certain new measures with regard to the management of the trust and the landed property including the shop structures at Mandir Bazaar and Jai Road will be taken up in the coming days.
The chairman also informed that several new steps will be taken up to manage the income from the landed properties to bring accountability and transparency in the working of the trust. Chairman of the trust was accompanied by Kamla Wazir (wife), Bhanu Pratap Singh Vice Chairman, Karuna Wazir, Indu Wazir, Varsha Wazir and Sonia Wazir who are other members of the family.
