After Dandvat Pranam to PM Modi in APM, PAGD raising Art-370 to befool Kashmiris: Kavinder
8/24/2021 10:52:51 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 24: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta taking strong exception of People's Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) leaders meeting at Dr Farooq Abdullah's residence and demanding revocation of Article 370 said that the same leaders performed Dandvat Pranam before Prime Minister Narendra Modi during All Party Meeting (APM) and not uttered a word about Article 370 but now raking up the issue to befool Kashmiris.
In a statement issued here, Kavinder made it clear that not a single leader of PAGD spoke a word on Article 370 during the APM called by PM Modi on June 24, 2021 at his residence in New Delhi.
The senior BJP leader said that deep inside their hearts the PAGD leaders also know that restoration of Article 370 is next to impossible but to mislead the people of Kashmir again and again they are using the age old tactics of deceit and deception to create an atmosphere against the prolific policies of the BJP Government. He said that every single citizen of the J&K knows well the intention behind this group of so called public representatives and therefore their designs to derail the peace and development process initiated by the Modi Government in J&K will never take shape as people are smart enough to gauge well what is right and what is not.
Expressing surprise over the 'acumen' of PAGD leaders demanding revocation of Article 370, the senior BJP leader said this contentious Article gave J&K unemployment, terrorism, under-development, poverty, hunger and what not. He said that had the PAGD leaders really wanted to uplift the people of the UT of J&K they would have demanded more industry, avenues to promote tourism especially international as it is the mainstay of the UT, government jobs for educated youth, etc but it is highly uncalled for that this alliance is demanding dark era of Kashmir back for its people which BJP Government in the Centre will never allow to happen.
"Despite knowing well that people of J&K especially Kashmir have rejected them in total and their policies also, they are trying to vitiate the atmosphere by swaying them to destructive ways of lifestyle which is unwarranted and unacceptable", he said and added that people have understood the game-plan of PAGD and therefore will not fall prey to its tactics again.
