JAMMU, Oct 5: To commemorate the 152nd Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Government Degree College (GDC) Akhnoor organized weeklong activities. The week started with slogan writing competition organized by Prof Shivani Sharma of Environmental Sciences based on the theme "Gandhian Philosophy". During week long celebrations, 'Shikshit Bharat' Cell of the College organized online essay writing competition on the topic, "Mahatma Gandhi's Contribution to the Freedom Struggle". Dr Rashmi Sharma, Dr Aksa and Dr Surita Sharma were the judges in the programme. The programme was moderated by Coordinator 'Shikshit Bharat', Shama Rani, Assistant Professor in Dogri. NSS Unit of the college organized cleanliness drive wherein NSS volunteers actively participated in the event. The event was organized by NSS Programme Officer, Dr Sanjay Kapoor, Assistant Professor in Chemistry. |
