Gurmeet condemns Lakhimpur Kheri violence | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 5: Social activist Gurmeet Singh condemned the Lakhimpur Kheri violence and demanded severe punishment to the culprits. The recent incident of violence at Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh has shaken the conscience of one and all, Gurmeet Singh said, adding that it is all the more painful that our ‘Anndattas’ (farmers) have lost lives in this unfortunate act while protesting peacefully against the farm laws. The faces of real culprits behind Lakhimpur Kheri violence should be exposed immediately, Singh demanded. Singh said that the type of despicable attack on farmers is being condemned all over the country. “Farmers have lost their lives in this unfortunate incident. Should they be crushed to death with a Vehicle? Nothing could be more painful than this. I demand that severe punishment be given to the culprits and also demand that Central Government should urgently review and repeal the three farm laws which have caused resentment amongst the farmers,” he added. |
