| BGSBU organizes webinar on ‘Inclusive Society through Gender Sensitization’ | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 18: Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) Rajouri organized one day Webinar on ‘Inclusive Society through Gender Sensitisation’. The webinar was organized by the Women Cell, BGSBU in collaboration with the Media Cell of the University.
Prof. Akbar Masood, Vice Chancellor of the University in his message said that BGSBU is committed to gender sensitization.
Prof. Akbar mentioned that gender sensitization is the basic requirement to understand the sensitive needs of a particular gender. He said that education enables the development of a more democratic society which can be crucial to changing attitudes into accepting gender equality as a fundamental social value.
Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. Iqbal Parwez delivered the welcome address. Prof. Iqbal said that a gender sensitive environment enables women to maximize their potential as it builds self respect, confidence and self-esteem. Prof. Sheeba Hamid from Aligarh Muslim University and Dr. Savita Rai from Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri National Sanskrit University, New Delhi delivered lectures on the occasion. |
