Mayor inaugurates development works at Rajpura

JAMMU, Oct 18: Mayor JMC Chander Mohan Gupta alongwith Surinder Chowdhary Councillor Ward no. 29, today inaugurated the much-needed development works which includes construction/renovation of Bathroom, Chowkidar's Quarter, School Kitchen & other allied works at Govt. Girls High School, Rajpura Mangotrian of ward no. 33.
Renu Manhas, Principal along with other staff members of the school as well as Bawa Sharma, Ashok Yogi, Krishan Verma, Balvinder Kumar, Naseeb Raj, Karan Sharma and other prominent inhabitants of Rajpura Mangotrian and its adjoining localities and Ashish Bhasin, Assistant Executive Engineer and other supervisory staff of Engineering Division-II and Sanitation Wing were also accompanied the Mayor during the inauguration function.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor told that it was the long pending demands of the School Staff and the work of which was started a few months back by the JMC with an allotted amount of Rs. 6.70 lacs has been completed and has been handed over to School management for further use for children and staff members.
He also urged the Principal to plant more and more seasonal as well as ornamental saplings within the premises of the school for maintaining greenery and eco friendly atmosphere in the school complex. He further told that all the councillors with the active support of officers/officials of JMC and other allied departments are committed to provide best possible amenities for the people of Jammu in every ward of the city from the last three years as soon as they were duly elected irrespective of any cast, religion or creed and appeal to the citizens of Jammu to come forward and cooperate with JMC in all the development activities being undertaken within jurisdiction of JMC, do not throw garbage, filth, polythenes etc in the open as well as in the public drains/ nallahas always use nearby dustbins, adopt the habit of segregation of dry/wet waste at their own level, refrain from using single used plastics/ polythenes in their routine life, do not encroach nallahas/ public drains so that the aim of "Swachh Bharat Mission" can be achieved successfully.
