PM will do everything to empower J&K: Sat

JAMMU, Nov 18: In a major push concerning basic amenities for the residents of Jammu West, former Minister and ex-MLA Sat Sharma (CA) along with Councillor Dinesh Gupta inaugurated the works of laying fresh water pipes at Last Morh, Sarwal area of Ward 18. Accompanied by a large number of people including Mandal President Raveesh Mengi, former MLA Sharma started the works in the presence of local residents and political activists of the area.
The works will be done under the supervision of the PHE department at an estimated cost of Rs 30 lakhs and seven lanes will be covered under the same where fresh water pipes will be laid down.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that it was a long pending demand of the residents of the areas which was under process for decades and keeping in view the shortage of water in these areas, the works had to be taken up in order to provide adequate water supply to the residents. He stated that the present government under the leadership of PM Modi will do everything to empower J&K and to provide every basic necessity to each and every resident of Jammu and Kashmir.
Dinesh Gupta said during the tenure of Former MLA several Tube Wells and Over Head Tanks in various areas of Jammu West were constructed which ended the problem of low water supply in summer season.
Raveesh Mengi said that today every ward of Jammu West is equipped with modern infrastructure and that is due to the efforts of former MLA who right from the day one is working hard to mitigate the sufferings of the masses, he added.
Sangeeta Gupta, Sanjay Bhat, Rohit Gupta, Madan Pandey, Ashok Gandhi, Amrik Singh, Rakesh Gupta and several others were also present.
