LG Sinha sidelines babus, reaches out to people personally | BJP leaders happy after being heard | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 18: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha reaching out to people directly has made a huge difference. Sources told Early Times that LG Sinha has taken a strong note of bureaucrats “misleading” him. “Recently he announced a one time, 2-year age relaxation for the aspirants of Sub Inspector post. LG Sinha met the aspirants personally and took the call,” they added. Sinha, according to the sources, has told the officials in clear terms that their job is to serve the people and not to make things difficult for them. “Bureaucrats remaining inaccessible had led to people getting annoyed and them losing faith over the system,” they added. It’s in place to mention here that BJP leaders on many occasions had expressed dismay over the functioning of bureaucrats. “The government is not being run by our party but the bureaucrats. We have no role to play,” BJP leaders had said on many occasions. Sources said that however, after LG Sinha has taken the control and has started meeting everyone on his own, BJP leaders are happy as they are being heard. “The age relaxation for the posts of SI aspirants was announced soon after BJP leaders met LG Sinha in Jammu,” they added. A BJP leader said that LG Sinha has taken a serious exception to the “monarchic approach” of a few officials and has asked the politicians to get in touch with him directly. “Things are changing for the good,” the BJP leader added. |
