BASOHLI, Nov 18: Col Mahan Singh (Retired) District Development Council (DDC) Chairman Kathua kick started black topping work of 2.6 km road stretch from Samman to Prungal here today. This macadamized road was a long pending demand of the people of Prungal village which is isolated on its three sides due to RSD Reservoir. Jubilant villagers who were present on the occasion distributed sweets and raised slogans in favour of PM Narendra Modi and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). While addressing the gathering, Singh reiterated that equitable development of all areas is the main concern of BJP government at the Centre for which he said it is inevitable to pay focussed attention on proper road connectivity. The DDC Chairman lauded LG Manoj Sinha for leaving no stone unturned in carrying forward the priority schemes and projects launched by the Centre from time to time. He said it is the result of synchronized efforts of the union government and the UT administration that Jammu & Kashmir is today witnessing unprecedented number of developmental projects on ground and that too being carried out at unprecedented pace.
