Black-marketing of minor minerals going on unabated: Tony
11/18/2021 10:37:52 PM
Early Times Report

SUCHETGARH, Nov 18: DDC Member Suchetgarh Taranjit Singh Tony today alleged that J&K is presently governed by most corrupt government ever as entire official machinery is involved in black-marketing of minor minerals in connivance with outsider contractors as every order in this regard is to benefit mafia and not the common masses.
Tony accused the incumbent dispensation in J&K to be the most corrupt one in the last over 70 years. He appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to intervene as the corrupt practices in the UT have crossed all the limits with common man suffering to the hilt and delinquent ruling the roost.
“One such glaring example is that the liquor policy under the influence of liquor mafia from outside the state have destabilize the youth of Jammu & Kashmir Union who were involved in liquor business today questioned that instead of creating jobs and entrepreneurship opportunities for the youth of J&K these kind of policies have brought down the image of J&K administration whereas the Ladakh UT administration under the stewardship of LT Governor R K Mathur is working hard to save all such opportunity for Ladakh only,” Tony said.
The DDC member accused government machinery of promoting black-marketing of minor minerals by issuing orders which are not in the favour of local contractors and common masses but are proving bountiful for the mineral mafia hailing from outside the UT.
He said the corruption is so high that to facilitate the bigger contractors from outside states tailor made orders are being issued to ensure that local contractors cannot participate in any kind of deal.
He said that the cases of PHE, PWD, RDD, PDD and many other departments are also dismal as far as corruption is concerned but those having the responsibility to check the same are in no mood to fulfill this obligation making it amply clear that they are getting their respective cuts without any break.
