| GDC Kathua celebrates Guru Nanak Dev jayanti | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, Nov 18: NSS units GDC Kathua celebrated 551st birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev ji.
In this connection a symposium was organized on the topic “Life history and teachings of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji”.
More than twenty five volunteers took part in the symposium. Volunteers expressed their views in Punjabi, English and Hindi. Volunteers while expressing their views focused on the life history and teachings of the founder of Sikhism. Sakshi Bhau, Ritika Jasrotia and Gurjinder Kour got first, second and third positions respectively. Other participants were acknowledged with participation certificates.
The event was organized under the patronage of incharge Principal and supervision of NSS Programme Officers Prof Ritu Kumar Sharma and Prof Neha Bandral. The event was judged by Dr Shub Kumar HOD Sanskrit, Dr Amreek Singh Department of Geography and Prof Manmohan Singh Department of History. Senior most faculty members also attended the event. |
