JAMMU, Nov 18: 18th Youth National Super Seven Cricket championship for boys U-23 age commenced at MA Stadium today. Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir’s Super Seven Cricket Association under aegis of Super Seven Cricket Federation of India has organized the championship. 20 teams from various States of India viz Orissa, Karnataka, MP, UP, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Bihar and HP are taking part in the championship. The inauguration of the tournament was done by the Chief Guest Mahant Rajesh Bittu by tossing the coin. The opening match was played between Orissa and Rajasthan. Batting first, Orissa was all out on 43 runs in 6 overs, in response Rajasthan chased the target in 4.1 overs and won the match comfortably. The match umpires were Kuldep Nagar and Anil Arora while the scorers were Rajesh Sharma and Satish Narad.
