| Tourist destinations across Kathua district have potential of boosting J&K’s economy: Mahan Singh | | |

KATHUA, Dec 14: Chairman District Development Council (DDC) Kathua, Col (Retired) Mahan Singh said that the tourist destinations across Kathua district have full potential of boosting J&K’s economy. However, there is dire need to develop these destinations in order to attract maximum tourist footfall as well as generating new employment opportunities for the youth of the union territory. Singh said this while chairing a review meeting of tourism projects at DDC Council office today. He emphasized for development of tourism infrastructure in the entire Kathua District. He asked the tourism officials to prepare tourist destination specific plan and time bound completion of projects keeping in view the quality of work done. The DDC Chairman emphasized that if these unique tourist destinations are developed properly they can match any popular tourist destination in the country. He said that BJP Government at the Centre is fully sensitive towards the development of Jammu and Kashmir.
