General Manager Northern Railway holds review meeting | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 14: Ashutosh Gangal, General Manager Northern Railway held a review meeting with the departmental heads of Northern Railway through video conferencing. Deliberations were held on keeping focus on safety on tracks keeping in mind the upcoming foggy weather, business development units and freight loading. Gangal said that safety is the prime focus over Northern Railway. He reviewed the work done over the zone in improving the maintenance standard of track, welds and removal of scrap lying near the tracks. He instructed the divisions on conducting drives to enhance the safety during upcoming foggy weather and counsel the staff whenever necessary and required. He said the monitoring of rail fractures and rail welds should be done extensively and no error should be left. Gangal informed that to facilitate Divyangjans in addition to existing 685 Divyang friendly toilets will be built over various stations of Northern Railway and apart from this another 82 toilets through CSR fund will also be constructed in circulating area of various stations. Gangal instructed that BDUs should create an environment of trust, support and confidence amongst the customers. He added that the initiatives and concessions offered by the Railways should reach the clients. He also informed that, loading of food grains & other items have steadily increased with every passing month. |
