| GDC Thannamandi celebrates National Energy Conservation Day | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 14: Department of Botany and Physics jointly organized a poster making competition on the theme “Conserve Energy, Save the Future” on the eve of National Energy Conservation Day-2021 under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mohtasav. The event was organized under the patronage of Principal Prof (Dr.) Javaid Ahmed Qazi. In the poster making competition Adnan Aqib, Saiba Khan, and Shagufta Pervaiz secured 1st, 2nd,and 3rd position respectively. The judges of the event were Waqar Ahmed (Chief Libarian) Dr Mohd Ibrahim (Physical Director) and Dr Murtaza Malik (Lecturer Botany).
Speaking on the occasion principal Prof (Dr.) Javaid Ahmed Qazi remarked that the energy is real wealth of the Nation we all should do our bit to conserve the wealth of the Nation and also mentioned the students to use energy judiciously by turning off lights and electrical appliance before leaving the rooms, make maximum use of sunlight and use LED and energy efficient bulbs at your home. Prof Ajaz Nazir HOD Physics and Dr Tajinder Singh, HOD Botany were the organizers of the event. |
