GDC Kathua celebrates National Energy Conservation Day

KATHUA, Dec 14: Conservation of energy resources are utmost need of the current time. In this connection, Government Degree College (Boys) Kathua celebrated National Energy Conservation Day today. An online quiz competition and slogan writing competition will be organized by the Department of Botany, GDC Kathua.
The quiz and the slogan writing was organized under the overall supervision and guidance of principal Prof. MS Pathania and Prof. Raj Kiran, I/c Principal of the college . The event were organised under the Prof. Ram Krishan HOD Botany acts as Coordinator whereas, Dr. Shveta saroop act as convener, Prof. Nisha Bhagat and Prof. Rupali Nanda acted as Co-Coordinator to these event.
Prof. Ram Krishan while giving details of quiz competition said that response of students was overwhelming, as large number of students of different colleges of Jammu province took part in the Quiz competition.
As per data, about 200 students from the different college of J&K were participated out of more than 96 students has secured more than 70% marks and got e-certificate.
Neeraj Verma, Saheel Ahmed, Koshma Devi & Kartik Sharma of GDC Kathua secured highest marks in the quiz competition. Anjali Sharma, Gunjan Salaria & Raghav Sharma got second position while 3rd secured by Richa Rajput, Naina Rajput of GCW Kathua; Anchal Sharma Kamini Kumari of GDC Nowshera; Priya Sharma and Tania Sharma of GLDM College Hiranagar.
In slogan writing competition 30 students from different colleges participated. Among them Sangeeta Devi of GDC Kathua secured 1st position.
Lehana Sharma from GDC Kathua, Kamini Sharma of GLDM College Hiranagar secured 2nd position while Shallu Jangral & Damini Sharma shared 3rd position.
