| NC holds ST Cell meeting at Badali | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, Dec 14: National Conference (NC) held a meeting of ST Cell at Panchayat Badali under the leadership of District President Sunil Verma in which he strongly criticized the central government policies and programmes for JKUT.
Verma said that in surrounding areas of Udhamupr city people are suffering due to shortage of drinking water, road connectivity and other issues, adding that no development work is visible on ground and only false promises were made with the people at the time of election for own vote bank.
He said that crores of rupees were invested for three tier Panchayati Raj but till today the Panchayati Raj system has not been strengthened.
Verma further said that ST community is strength of the National Conference party, adding that it was Sheikh Mohd Abdullah, who gave land rights to the community and BJP divides nation on caste basis only for political benefits.
Others who spoke on the occasion included Block president Pavithir Singh Jamwal, Channa Ram Sethi, Anitullah, Master Moti Ram, Ch Mohd Gani and Naib Sarpanch Kuldeep Kumar. |
